He was born on January 12, 1975 in Wuerzburg, Germany to Marina & David Borrego, Jr.
David enlisted into the United States Navy in 1997 as an aviation mechanic. He served honorably for 20 years before retiring in 2017 as a Petty Officer 1st Class. Following his military service, David worked as an aircraft mechanic for Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth.
David was a devoted father and husband. He met his soulmate, Cynthia, in 2011 in New Orleans and the couple was married the following year in El Paso. Together they raised five wonderful children. David enjoyed riding his Harley, building with Legos, rooting for the Carolina Panthers, and spending quality time with his family, friends, & Brothers.
Dave was introduced to the Viet Nam Vets Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club in the spring of 2012. On October 20, 2012, Dave was patched into the club as Brother Carnal in A Chapter, Louisiana. Carnal was regarded as a brother you could always count on. If you needed him, he was there—period.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Marina, his sister, Diana Long, & brother-in-law, Gregory Long. He is survived by his father, David Borrego, Jr. (and his wife, Pilar), his loving wife, Cynthia, and their five wonderful children: Rebecca, Gregory, Shyan, Roman, & David, as well as three cherished nieces: Audrey, Elizabeth, & Isabelle. Dave will also be sorely missed by his beloved dogs Cam, Carolina, & Legacy.
