Dave was born on December 13, 1942 to Rastus and Mida Sanders. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Caroline and Dave were together for 43 years. They enjoyed dancing, movies and fishing. He taught the whole family to fish. He loved spending time with his great-grandchildren, and loved his family more than anything.
Dave enjoyed telling jokes, pulling people’s legs and making people laugh. He was a strong man who influenced everyone around him and always kept smiles on everyone’s faces no matter what was going on. Dave fought hard until his very last day.
Dave worked as a painter, cabinet maker and plumber. He worked at 377 EZ Mart and loved his regular customers. He also enjoyed building furniture and bird houses. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, son: Daniel Carder, daughter: Sandra Ingram, and brother Ronald Sanders.
Survivors: wife: Caroline Sanders, daughters: Regena Stroud and Glynda Harkcom, grandchildren: Amber Brown, Delores Carder, Chelsea Harkcom and fiance Ryan Remedies, Lindsey Carder, Daniel Carder, Jr., Perry Harkcom, Jr., David Harkcom (Amber Derosier), Shelton Sanders and Jack Ingram, six great grandchildren, sisters: Lanelle Carlisle (Charlie), Sherry Suddie (Lucky), Faye Jeffries, nephew: Freddie Sellars, son-in-law: Scott Bartley and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
