David Thomas Moon, age 74, died January 10, 2022.
Memorial Service: 11:00 am, Saturday, January 15 in the Saginaw Ward Chapel at 300 Ridgecrest Dr, Saginaw, TX 76179.
Visitation will be at 10:30 am.
He was born May 16, 1947 in Burley, Idaho, to Glenn Nelson Moon Sr. and Mary Alice King. Following graduation from Granite High School, he served 2 years as an LDS missionary in the Eastern States Mission. He attended Brigham Young University and graduated with a BS in Accounting. He worked for almost 40 years as an accountant in Texas.
He married his eternal companion, Susan Marie Thompson, on September 26, 1980 in the Salt Lake City Temple. They celebrated 41 years together last year.
He was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many capacities. He was a financial clerk, Gospel Doctrine Teacher, an Employment Specialist, and held various other callings.
He will be remembered for his example of love, faith, service, generosity, integrity, and especially his sense of humor. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandpa. He was patient, loving, tolerant and accepting. He was slow to anger, and quick to laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Nelson.
He is survived by his wife, their three children: Aaron (Natalie), Joshua, Allison (Ed); 6 grandchildren; his sisters, Judith and LaPriel.
