Dean Early London passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 in Granbury, Texas. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Dean was born April 5, 1918 in Oklahoma City to Lee Miller London and Helen Irene (White) London. He was valedictorian of Ringling (OK) High School, became an Eagle Scout, graduated from Oklahoma University and Harvard Business School, served in WWII and Korea, and became a Commander in the US Navy. Dean had many near-death experiences, including being torpedoed in the North Atlantic. He was a member of the OKC Unitarian Church and a successful oil and gas producer and stock trader. He lived frugally and was quite generous to family. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ray, his wife Irene Thompson Horowitz, long-time companion Wilma Brimer, and granddaughter Kelley (Hakes) Henderson Routh.
Survivors are one son, Bruce London and wife Marti of Granbury, TX; grandson Kevin London, wife Krista and their sons Jackson and Gavin of Austin, TX; grandson Jim Hakes, wife Andi and their sons Beck and Hugh of Dallas, TX; granddaughter Lisa London Faust, husband Adam and their son Tyler of Atlanta, GA; granddaughter Kim London Brill, husband Max and their daughter Hannah of Suwanee, GA; Doug Routh, husband of Kelley, and their daughter Grace of Broken Arrow, OK; and great-granddaughter Adalley Henderson of Oakville, WA. Dean is loved and missed by his entire family and many friends.
