Deborah Lynn (Daffron) Richey a precious wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend went to her heavenly home early Monday morning April 1, 2019.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 6, at Biggers Funeral Home in Lake Worth.
A Celebration of Deborah’s Life will follow at Augie’s Sunset Café on Eagle Mountain Lake.
Deborah was born in Azle on May 21, 1954. She spent most of her life in Azle. In her early life, Deborah worked at the Jefferson’s Home for Children caring for children with severe disabilities. As a hospice nurse for the last several years, she cared for and comforted countless families and friends in the community. The words that people use to describe Deborah are: angelic, caring, sweet, friendly, extraordinary, happy, joyful, comforting. She brightened every room she entered, treated everyone with kindness and was always a champion for the underdog.
Gordon was Deborah’s soulmate and best friend. They loved being outside and spent a lot of time camping all over Texas. They enjoyed sitting by the campfire and visiting with friends and family. They also loved the beach and being near the ocean, a lake or a river.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Edwyna Key; her father, Troy Daffron; and her brother, Troy Daffron, Jr. (Ted).
Survivors: Husband, Gordon Richey; three children Kindra Merriman, Jessica Kay, Ethan Miller; four grandchildren, Blayne, Ashlynn, Kaydence, Leighton; one great-grandchild, Conrad; sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Russ Huerta; brother and sister-in-law, Eric and Lavonne Key.
