Debra Elaine Hill, 63, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Service: 11:00 AM, Monday, March 19, 2018, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury, Interment: Acton Cemetery, Visitation: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 18, 2018, Wiley Funeral Home, Granbury.
She was born on October 27, 1954 in Dallas County, Texas to Lonnie and Barbara Anderson. Debra married Kelly Hill on March 27, 2003 in Fredericksburg, Texas. She was an Advance Texas Master Florist, who owned floral shops in Granbury and Gilmer, Texas for more than 35 years. Her skills were nationally recognized and she often taught classes at the Texas State Floral Association.
Debra’s winning smile and never-met-a-stranger attitude made her popular with friends and business associates throughout her multifaceted career. She was extremely creative, enjoying woodworking, painting and custom framing. Skilled in almost every building trade, she designed and built houses using her talents in architecture, mechanical design and the electrical and plumbing trades. When she wasn’t working or playing with the grandchildren she adored, Deb enjoyed traveling to Port Aransas and her family ranch. She also loved attending rock concerts with her many girlfriends. And her culinary skills were legendary.
Debra was a member of First United Methodist Church, Granbury. She was preceded in death by her dad, Lonnie Anderson, and sister: Linda Allen.
Debra is survived by her husband, Kelly Hill, son: Chris Spencer, daughter: Brittany Newman and husband Johnny, granddaughter: Addy Spencer, grandson: Gray Seward, mother: Barbara Anderson, brothers: Lonnie Charles Anderson, Jr. and wife Teresa and Jim Anderson and wife Christy, brothers-in law: Bob Hill and wife Charlotte, and Skeet Allen and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
