Dee Swiss Thomas, Jr., 91, of Granbury passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020. Memorial service: 1:00 PM, Sunday, October 4, 2020, First United Methodist Church, Granbury.
Dee was born on April 11, 1929 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Viola and Dee Thomas Sr. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a hard working printer and typesetter.
Dee married Carol Kusachi on September 10, 1962 in White Salmon, Washington. He was known for mowing the yard to keep Carol from doing it, and maybe to impress the neighbors.
Dee enjoyed fishing, model cars, and reading, especially the newspaper from cover to cover. He loved the computer and was an online sweepstake winner.
For the last few years, Dee was a well-loved resident at Harbor Lakes. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
Dee is survived by his loving wife of 58 years: Carol Thomas, children: Diane Norma Thomas, Debra Susan McCarty and husband Max, Dee Swiss Thomas III, Denise Sheryl Mills and husband Mike, David Wayne Thomas and wife Krista, and Dennis Dale Thomas and wife Daleen, 26 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, cousin: Willadean Bush and extended family and friends.
Dee was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
