Delbert was an amazing man. His support to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal community helped saved lives as our operators worked to counter explosive threats. I first met Delbert in 2006 when our unit was deployed to Taji, Iraq. He quickly became a member of our military family. I am grateful I was able to know him. He will be deeply missed.

Sorry to hear of Delberts passing.Delbert was the first person to befriend me at Glen Rose High School in 1969 and I always remembered that and truly appreciated his friendship and he called me long hair and I called him cowboy but we still had some good times. He will be missed but he is only asleep. 1Thessalonians 4:13-18
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I knew Delbert since the fifth grade when he moved to Glen Rose. He was always laughing and smiling. We use to exchange records back then until he brought back my Sonny and Cher record that was melted from being left in the hot car! We both loved to dance and never payed attention in class! I do remember he asked me to a church outing in 1968, he stood me up but the church took me along anyway! Ha! Next day he said he got busy and forgot. Of course I forgave him! Who couldn’t! He will be missed by all, especially his children that he always bragged about! Sweet guy! And it WAS never a dull moment with him!
