Graveside Service with Military Honors

 

 

Delmar “Dale” Holly, a loving husband, dad, grandad, and great-grandad, departed this life to be in heaven on March 16, 2021.

 

Graveside services with Military honors will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Azleland Memorial Park.

 

Delmar, a U.S. Navy veteran, was born September 24, 1937 in Spur, Texas to Roud and Vesta Holly. He was very much a family man who loved hunting and fishing with his sons and grandsons. He also enjoyed cooking and smoking meat for his family, friends, and many wonderful neighbors.

 

He is survived by his wife of almost 63 years, Nancy; children, Sharon Dignum and husband, Stanley, Gary Holly and wife, Karen, Karen Kidd and husband, Mark, and CD Holly and wife, Tammy; grandchildren, Heather, Chance, Brian, Trevor, Tyler, Hayley, and Hannah; great-grandchildren, Madison, Kanyon, Karson, and Carter.

When I fell ironworking in 1983, the doctors would not release me to go back to working on high iron. Delmar gave me a job working with Gary in his new garage door business.
