Jacqueline Denise Akers

She went by Denise, age 50; on Tuesday November 10, 2020 at her home in Joshua, Texas, Denise passed away after a long fight with cervical cancer. She fought so hard.. the strongest woman I know.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, November 20, 2020 at Martin’s Funeral Home Chapel, Granbury.

Denise was a great mother, Nanny, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved her kids and grandbaby more than anything.. and her cats. She loved spending time with family, playing fort nite with her kids, and being outside in the pool in the summers. She loved singing Karaoke with all of us. And gossiping! And watching ghost stories, she shared that interest with her brother.

She was a Momma’s girl for sure.

Tina shared a childhood story –

Jeff was always setting boobie traps for us. He would put fishing line at the bottom of the doorways so we would trip & fall. We always played with barbies & sometimes we would come in our room & our barbies would be destroyed & he would have his Star Wars people all around them like they did it! We all 3 loved to be outside any chance we could get. We built a wrestling ring in our back yard & would have wrestling matches.
