Denny Bruce Peeples

April 15, 1959 - May 23, 2016

Denny Bruce Peeples, age 57, was welcomed into the kingdom of heaven on Monday, May 23, 2016 at his home in Fort Worth.

Committal service with military honors: 11:15 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Visitation: Family, friends, and others whose lives Denny touched are invited to Biggers Funeral Home, 6100 Azle Avenue, from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please do an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness in Denny’s name or make a donation to an animal shelter.

Denny was born on April 15, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, to Dr. Jasper and Johnnie (Bruce) Peeples. During his years in Dumas, Denny sang with the ensemble, “His Children”, at First Baptist Church and performed in many musical productions in the area. Denny also earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was a 1977 graduate of Dumas High School. Denny went on to attend Texas A&M. While at A&M, he performed with the musical ensemble, Reveilliers. Denny graduated from A&M in 1981 with a degree in Building Construction. He served in the Navy from 1987 to 1993.

On December 30, 1995, he married Lanell Jansa in Wichita Falls. Denny’s special interests and hobbies included woodworking, genealogy and his beloved dogs. He had recently become interested in researching his Scottish heritage in Clan Hay. Denny was a very kind and loving soul and had an unwavering faith in God.

Denny was preceded in death by his father, Jasper Peeples and his great-nephew, Grayson Peeples.

Survivors: include his beloved wife, Lanell; daughters, Savannah and Emma Peeples; sons, John and Dan Carrell; mother, Johnnie Peeples; siblings, Crysta Jones and Greg Peeples; grandson, Thomas Carrell; and nieces and nephews, Samantha Oxtoby, Lyndsey Jones, Adam Jones, Josh Peeples, Rachel Jones, and Nick Jones.

I know that endings are new beginnings, i know that the very strength of your relationship leaves millions of seeds of love to heal your heart and soul, but oh the journey you must take to get there. I am sad that the best words I can think of to give you are the words i would speak to every friend who suffers loss. I love you, and I lift your family daily. May my tears join yours, may your family and friendships sustain you as you move forward and may heart healing mercies be yours.
