Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 AM. Thursday; December 2, 2021 at Acton Cemetery in Granbury under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.

Dewey T. Oliver, Jr. 91, passed away on Saturday; November 27, 2021 in Fort Worth. He was born May 17, 1930 in Cheraw, South Carolina. Dewey served in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam War and received several medals. He was a big John Wayne fan and he loved to read. Dewey was a very, very kind man, a wonderful husband, and a great uncle and friend.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Sparks Oliver, his son, Steve Oliver and a nephew, David Hargrove.

 

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Kara Hargrove; nieces, Theresa Bradley and Connie Kemmer; nephews, Robert Hargrove and Chris Kemmer; numerous great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
