GRANBURY — Don Drake, 81, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, in Granbury.
Funeral: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at Granbury Church of Christ.
Interment of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Pecan Plantation VFD and EMS.
Don was born Feb. 8, 1934, in Dallas, to Cline B. Drake and Marie Marsh Drake. He met Jane Robertson at the Hi-Di-Ho Drive In in Lubbock and they married, Aug. 28, 1959, in Hale Center, Texas. Don served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Granbury Church of Christ. He was a big Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed family camping trips, cruises and RV trips. Their vacations took them to six continents.
Survivors: Wife, Jane; sons, Derek Drake, Darren Drake and wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Rachel Drake, Morgan Drake, Alyssa Drake; brothers, Charles Drake and wife, Delle, James Drake and wife, Joyce, Paul Drake and wife, Susie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
