Don Spears, 95, a an Army veteran of World War II, passed away Monday April 22, 2013.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at 3 p.m. in Cathedral of the Pines in Tyler. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Don was born August 10, 1917 in Lincoln County, Arkansas. He has been an Azle area resident for over 10 years and was married to Margaret Dake Spears on December 31, 2006.

He is survived by his wife Margaret; daughter, Letha Richardson; stepchildren, Delbert Dake, Marieta Starkey, Kathy Lott, Bruce Dake, Ellen Macies, and Daniel Dake; brothers, Fred Puckett and Danny Spears; sisters, Emma Sue Sandy, Mary Lou Brewer, and Alice Maxwell; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
