Donald “Don” Ray Holder

Donald Ray Holder “Don”, age 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior, on Sunday, October 28, 2018, after suffering a heart attack at his home in Cresson, TX.

Don was born on January 20, 1948 in Deport TX, to Louis and Ellie (Grimes) Holder. He was preceded in passing by his parents and brothers; Willie and Melvin Holder.

Don was a mechanic by trade and could work on and repair just about anything. He loved drag racing cars and riding motorcycles. Although he hasn’t been able to do either for several years – he still kept a few of his “hobbies” around. His favorite pastime was spending time with his immediate and extended family; especially his 4 grandsons. He also enjoyed meeting up with old friends. He loved to tell stories and jokes and he talked a lot about history.

He will forever be remembered by his wife of 52 years, Mary Holder (Pryor), Daughters: Ann Marie Holder and Donna Holder Fletemeyer, Son: Blake Holder, Grandsons: Paxton Holder, Peyton, Hunter and Hayden Fletemeyer, Brother: John Henry Holder, Sisters: Ann (Holder) Savage, her husband, David, and Mona Timbs, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, November 10 @ 1:00pm, Wiley Funeral Home, 400 Highway 377 East, Granbury TX
