Doris and I sat next to each other in the choir at First Baptist Church Granbury for a number of years. She was a good friend whom I stayed in touch through Facebook. My husband Bill and I will be praying for the family in these difficult times.

I met Doris in Choir at First Baptist. I was new to choir and she made me feel welcomed. That started our friendship that lasted even when we moved back to Illinois. We kept in touch by texting. She was very talented. I am reminded of the skits she participated in at church. My heart aches for her family. She was very special and I will miss her. I know Doris is singing in heaven now!
The Day Family left a message on March 3, 2022:
Doris was such a great hostess. We loved visiting at her and Carl's house for fish fries or an afternoon of dominoes. She was always laughing and smiling. We will miss our sweet neighbor. Carson and Rossanne Day

A memory that I'll never forget about Doris is how she showed me some of her fishing techniques and using motor oil worms. I always called her the Bassmaster. She was good at hooking those dudes.
