Doris Beckway

January 19, 1921 - August 26, 2020

Doris Beckway passed away on Wednesday; August 26, 2020 in Granbury.  She was 99.

Mrs Beckway was born January 19, 1921 in small town in North Carolina.  One of four siblings, she grew up in Baltimore, Maryland.

A longtime resident of Granbury, Mrs. Beckway was an antique dealer and a docent at the Hood County Jail Museum.  She was an avid doll collector and a world traveler.

A lover of the stage, Mrs. Beckway performed in numerous plays over the years in Granbury’s beloved Opera House.

Mrs Beckway is survived by her two sons, Gerald and Ronald Astor and her close friend and lifelong resident of Granbury, Patsy Zimmerman.  She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-five years, Edward Beckway, a quality control engineer.

Due to the current environmental circumstances, there will not be a service or gathering in observance of her passing
