Dovie was born on November 6, 1926 to Eddie and Dovie Murphree in Center, Texas. Dovie was a mom whom was truly loved by so many. She loved life and her family to the fullest. She was our truest friend and always had a spirit of fun. Her ways of relating and creating a comfortable environment brought us all closer together. In our hearts she will forever live, because of the true inspiration she was and the standards she set for her family. She was active in the Order of the Eastern Star for many years.
Dovie was survived by her son: Jerry Don Terry and Nanee, daughter: Bebe Yzaguirre and Ector, and daughter: Emmie Ferrara and John, grandchildren: Jeremy Yzaguirre and Cristalle, Jessica Castillo and Ricky, Jamie Pham and Chau, and Shelly Matlock, great grandchildren: Lucia Castillo, Remy Pham, Sophia Yzaguirre, Vera Castillo, Emerson Pham, Quinn Yzaguirre, and Adilyn Dovie Gilchrist.
