Friends are invited to celebrate Dudette’s life at Martin’s Funeral Home, Granbury, TX on Friday, December 6 at 11:0 am. Family will be available for visitation at 10:30 AM.
Dudette was born April 10, 1947, in Roswell, New Mexico. She was the oldest child of Dude and Jeanette Browning. As a child, she lived on ranches in New Mexico and Arizona before her family settled in Glencoe, New Mexico. She attended high school in Ruidoso where she was very active in band and cheerleading. She moved to Texas in 1971 and was a longtime resident of Young County, Texas. In recent years she also lived in Austin and Granbury. Dudette was a voracious reader, was always up for an adventure and loved to travel and explore. She enjoyed working jig-saw and crossword puzzles and rarely missed an episode of Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune.
Dudette was preceded in death by her parents, Dude Browning and Jeanette Browning Menninghaus and her nephew Colby Lee Browning. She is survived by her children, Jodi Creager and husband Danny of Granbury. Waylon Scott and partner Kim Pothorst of Graham, Doka Cullender and husband Jay of Austin; her siblings, Becca Browning of Mineral Wells, Tod Browning and wife Anne of Channing, D’Aun Browning and husband Larry Nail of Loving, Joe Bob Browning of Glencoe, N.M., Cody Browning and partner Carmen Webb of Glencoe, N.M.; Granddaughters, Becca Fuhrmann and husband Dominic of Stephenville, Kassie Alexander and husband James of Graham and Bethany Johnson of Granbury; several beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a warm circle of friends.
