Dwain R. Byers, 81, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 9, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Byers; and daughter, Denita Thorne. Dwain is survived by his son, Eldon Byers and Peggy.

Dear Eldon, Peggy, & family,
I will never forget your dear Mom, and Dad.
They were the best neighbors in the world! we took care of each others pets, and watched each others places, when we were out of town.
We loved seeing them out in the yard working so hard! They had the most beautiful yard on the block! We always waved and, sometimes if we all weren't too busy, would stop and talk.
They loved their family so much! And were so very proud of you and their grandchildren! They talked about you guys all the time.
your dad was the first person in our pool! your Mom used to make her rounds,(walks) and make sure everyone in the neighborhood was ok! Miss seeing her with the dogs following behind!
Your parents will be missed by us always!
