Loving husband, father, and friend to many
Dwayne McDonald passed away Saturday July 18, 2020 after a long
battle with multiple medical issues. He was 73 years and one month old.
He is preceded in his passing by his parents, Tommy M. and Mary McDonald, and his brother Tommy W. McDonald.
He is survived by his Wife of 55 years Betty McDonald, his daughter Mary Kosman and her husband Robby Kosman and their children Lindsey Kosman and Ashley Kosman. His son Richard McDonald and his wife Suzanne McDonald and their children Blake McDonald, Corban McDonald, Jake McCrary, Brooke McDonald, Savannah McDonald, and Sydney Hayes. He is also survived by his brother Gerald McDonald and his wife Ann and their family, and numerous other nieces and nephews. His beloved beagle Sam is also mourning his loss.
Mr. McDonald also leaves behind many friends and former co-workers too long to list.
Mr. McDonald made everyone around him laugh, and he was a very dedicated business partner and employee at his place of work for over 40 plus years. He was a volunteer coach of many in his early years and had a significant positive impact on youth sports in Saginaw, Texas and Newark, Texas with football, baseball and young women softball programs. He is still remembered to this day by those he influenced.
He loved one woman his entire adult life, was the best father, and the most loyal and fair man you will ever have the good fortune to meet. Dwayne loved all things outdoors and his favorite places were Gunnison Colorado, Beaver’s Bend Oklahoma, and Galveston Texas.
He will be missed by all who loved him and knew him.
The true measure of a man’s life is not how long he lived, but HOW he lived.
Rest in Eternal Peace Durwood, Papa, Delbert, Pop
