Dwight was born November 9, 1930 in Plainview to Thomas Hiram and Clemmie Grace Skaggs Hoover. He married Melba McCauley on February 2, 1952 in New Orleans. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked for Bell Helicopter for 35 years in inventory control. Dwight was a member of Granbury Church of Christ in Granbury.
Survivors: Wife of 67 years, Melba Hoover; daughter, Lymeda Singleton and husband Mike; son, Dwayne Hoover; daughter-in-law, Judy Hoover; grandchildren, Rob Singleton and wife Candice, Kevin Singleton and wife April, Janet Schlegel and husband Michael, Laura Singleton, Eric Hoover and wife Sarah, Nicholas Hoover and wife Brook and Katie Yowell and husband Keelan; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Audrey, Michael, Caleb, Lilly, Addy, Elly, and Waverly; sister-in-law, Peggy Hoover; brother-in-law, Charles Henry; brother, Gene Hoover; and sister, Pat Smith; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
