He was born on September 26, 1925 to Jessie Berdella Nogle and Robert Herman Lehnig in Kankakee, Il. He was married for 66 years to his love, Jean Marie (Francoeur) Lehnig.
He is survived by his sons, Ken Lehnig and wife, Sheryl (Eaton) Lehnig, Richard Lehnig and fiance Mary Jane Cuomo and Bob Lehnig and wife, Heidi (Carr) Lehnig. His daughters, Linda Darrin (deceased) Paula Hallman and husband, Scott Hallman and Leslie Reese and husband, Ron Reese.
