Earl was a good Police Officer, and a good Supervisor. It was a privilege, and an honor to have known, him, and worked with him at the DPD.My thoughts and prayers go out for his family, and many friends during this time of grief and sorrow. May Godspeed and RIP my Brother in Blue.

Earl was my training partner when I first came on the Dallas Police Dept. in 1964. We worked together many times after that and became good friends. Dave Holcomb was our Sergeant and he and Earl were good friends and they went into business together forming G&H Electric Company. It was very successful and after retiring from DPD he worked full-time as an electrician in the business. I have not seen Earl in a long time. I retired from DPD in 1989 and moved to Austin, Texas. I am so sorry to hear he passed away. We had good times together and he was an accomplished golfer with a low handicap. May he rest in peace in the arms of the Lord. My deepest condolences to Mary Ruth and their family.

I Had the Honor and Privilege of Knowing Mr. Gage Through Encompass Health. We Had Plenty of Interest in Common, the US Military and Westerns. We Enjoyed the Same Movies and TV Shows, as Well as Each Other’s Company, Sharing a Wide Range of Topics. I Asked Mr. Gage if He Had Any Experience Building Fence??? He Said Yes, But Not Anymore. As I was Leaving That Day, I Said, “I’ll Be By in the Morning at 0700 Hrs. To Pick You Up to Help Me Build a Fence, Be Ready!!!” His Remark, “I Ain’t Going!!!” You Should Seen the Look on His Face. I Had a Great Time with Mr. Gage, He Will Surely Be Missed by His Family and Others That Knew Him. And Mary, Earl Will Be Waiting for You, on the Other Side of the Moon... With God’s Love, Grace, Faith, Hope and Blessings, Earl Was Called Home to Meet Jesus Christ... Rest-in-Eternal Sleep, Kind, Sir...
