Earl Howard Dunn, 87, passed away February 17, 2021 in Granbury, Texas. He will lie in state from 1pm to 8pm and receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Martin’s Funeral Home. A service will be held at 10am, Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Martin’s Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:15pm at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Earl was born June 21, 1933 in Moscow, Idaho to Peter Albert and Minnie Sadie Dunn. In 1953 he joined the U.S. Airforce, serving in the 39th Bomb Squadron- 6th Bombardment Wing , stationed at Walker Airforce Base in Roswell, New Mexico. As Staff Sergeant, he maintained and repaired aircraft and was sent overseas to Guam & Greenland.
In 1958 Earl was hired by Navajo Refining Corporation and worked there for 33 Years. Earl worked his way up after 19 years of shift work to Safety Supervisor and Special Projects.
In 1955 Earl went on a blind date with Roma Parrish and they were married on March 10, 1956. They were inseparable, always holding hands and devoted to each other for 62 years until her death in March of 2018.
Earl was an excellent carpenter, mechanic, plumber and just an all-around “Jack-of-All-Trades”. He could build or fix anything.
Earl will be remembered working alongside of Roma on their home projects and helping his daughters and grandchildren in so many ways. He was an affectionate, unselfish, quiet Christian Man.

He is survived by: Lynn Galloway; Cindy Wotring and husband Jeff; Merri Rhodes and husband Darrell, He is also survived by his grandchildren: Mindy Galloway; Robyn Robinson and husband Joey; Sadie Wotring, Justin Howard Wotring, Chris Rhodes, Sarah Garner and husband Joe; great grandchildren; Jack and Bryan Garner; siblings: Al Dunn and wife Elaine, and Lloyd Dunn.
