Mr. Earl E. DeLack, 79, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020.

Earl was born February 20, 1941 in Little Fork, Minnesota to Melvin Eugene and Elsie Rosella (Johnston) DeLack. After attending high school, Earl joined the Marine Corps, serving for four years. After a period of enjoying civilian life, he joined the Army on February 18, 1977, retiring after 20 years of arduous service.
During his stent in the Army, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, a Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, and a Good Conduct Medal (Fourth Award).
While stationed in Korea, Earl married the love of his life, Sun Tuk Kim on January 21, 1969. Together, they enjoyed 52 years of wonderful life together.
Earl and Sun were blessed with the ability to live in many areas of the world, including Kansas, where their daughter, Sue was born, Kentucky, where their son, Melvin was born, and Germany, where their son, Earl was born.
After his retirement from the Army, Earl spent most of his time working as a long-haul truck driver, where he enjoyed “watching the miles roll by.”

He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Elsie DeLack, and by a brother, Marvin DeLack.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sun DeLack; children, Sue DeLack, Melvin DeLack, and Earl DeLack and his wife, Andrea; his grandchildren, Christine DeLack, Cassie Dyer and her husband, Chris, Michael DeLack, Kyle Mason, Cheyenne DeLack, John Goff, Hannah DeLack, Rebecca DeLack, Owen DeLack; great-grandchildren, Bailey Dyer, Trinity Rangel, Ava DeLack, Jesse DeLack, Jaxson Dyer, Landyn DeLack; siblings, Cleone Dixon of Wyoming, Fay Olsen and husband, Norman of Utah, Ila Mikkelsen of Washington, and Bill DeLack and his wife, G’Nell of Idaho.
