Eddie Joe Moore

Eddie Joe Moore, 64, passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018. Services held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Glen Rose, with visitation immediately preceding at 10:00 AM.

Eddie was born on September 27, 1953 to Joe and Thelma “Mozelle” Moore. He proudly served in the 101st Airborne division of the United States Army.
He met his wife Katherine at a rodeo dance in a local skating rink and told her that he would marry her someday. True to his word, two and a half years later he did.
He was loving father who was always able to calm, encourage and support his children. He and Katherine traveled the country while raising their three children. He always made sure to show his family the history of every place they lived or visited.

Eddie touched everyone he knew. People of all ages and creeds were drawn to him and loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Cosby Moore, mother-in-law: Celia Cullen, and grandson: Donovan Joe Darby.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Katherine J. Moore; children, Misty West and husband Don, Cody Moore and wife Lindsey, and Rachael Darby; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Phillip, Makenzie, Dalaney and Colten; siblings, Gordon Moore and wife Sandy, Glen Moore and wife Sandra, and Willie Moore; father-in-law, William Cullen and numerous nieces and nephews.
