Eddie M. Anderson, 71, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013.
A private committal will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 9, in Alvord Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. at North Davis Church of Christ in Arlington.
Eddie was born September 1, 1941, in Gainesville and grew up in Levelland. In 1963, he graduated from Abilene Christian University where he was a captain on the football team. He has worked as a salesman, football coach, teacher and primarily as a chemical toxicologist for the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Eddie was a man of quick humor. He was a skilled golfer, a determined fisherman and had an unconditional love for his family and friends. In his waterfront “paradise,” he enjoyed life to the end.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Volen and Oleta Anderson.
He is susrvived by his children, Edie Yost (Mike) of Carmel, Indiana, Suzi Grant (Trey) of Houston, Dan Gill (Marie) of Dallas and Kemp Anderson of Coconut Grove, Florida; sister, Jean Kevil (Phil) of Arlington; and grandchildren, Brad (Catherine), Ryan, Adie, Jack, Tate, Alex, Ethan and Mason, who were his greatest joy.
