Edgar Wayne Garrison, 71, passed away Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Glen Rose. Graveside service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 23, 2018 in Nancy Smith Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home.

Edgar was born Oct. 21, 1946 in Houston to William and Lura Dee Dixon Garrison. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and was a pipe fitter for Brown and Root. He liked farming, cattle, wildlife, horses, birds and fishing. He enjoyed watching sports.

Edgar was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elaine and Willie Fay; a brother Larry; and grandson, Justin Raffini.

Survivors: Wife, Barbara Garrison; children, Cynthia and husband Mike Adams, Wendy Raffini, David Simpson, Barry and wife Jeannie Simpson; grandchild, Jordan Bayne and other grandchildren; sister, Beverly and husband Robert Miller; brother, Robert W. Garrison.
