Elizabeth Jane Martin Long was born in Red River County on Dec. 28th, 1937. Growing up, Liz lived in Fort Worth, El Paso and Abilene, TX where she graduated from Wylie High School. It was here that she met her future husband, Elton Long. They were married for 59 years and were devoted to each other through good and bad times. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend plus a staunch supporter of her children, Ginger and Clay. She was smart, graduating school early and went on to pursue a career in Accounting and Real Estate/Construction.
