Emil Bowers Kerr

June 21, 1922 - May 17, 2016

Emil Bowers Kerr, 93, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, May 17, 2016. At her request no service will be held.

Emil was born in Farmersville on June 21, 1922. She was the fifth child born to Willie and Lonnie Bowers. They moved to Dallas before she was a year old and was raised there. Emil married Graham Wilson and they had daughters Charmayne and Cheryl. In 1952 Emil married Lawrence Kerr and they had a daughter named Debbie.

Emil was very athletic her entire life. She was an ice skater, played soft ball, bowling and her favorite sport was golf. She lived on the 15th tee of Cedar Creek Country Club course until she moved to Fort Worth to be closer to family.

Emil was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

She is survived by her three daughters, four grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
