Ervin “Ed” Stanley, Jr.

Ervin “Ed” Stanley Jr., 71, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 in Fort Worth. Service: 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Glen Lake Camp Chapel located at 1102 NE Bernard Street, Glen Rose, Texas.

Ed was born February 28, 1947 in Plano to Ervin and Willie Grace Renfro Stanley. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict, retired from the Santa Fe Railroad, then he and his wife established Linda’s Southern Kitchen in Midlothian. He married Linda Singletary on March 11, 1966 in Arlington. Ed enjoyed traveling in his RV with friends and family, playing the slots, camping and hunting. Ed was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Ed never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. Ed was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Joe Stanley and Robert Stanley.

Survivors: Wife of 53 years, Linda Stanley; son, Jerry Stanley and wife Sherry; daughter, Gina Woolverton and husband Mark; grandchildren, Jacob Stanley, Sara Stanley, Stan Abernathy and Shyanne McClure; sisters, Margie Davison and Georgia Hatfield; 12 nieces and nephews and 20 great nieces and great nephews as well as many great friends.
