Frances Horton

Frances J. Horton, 90, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at a local hospice center.

Funeral:  1 p.m. Tuesday, October 26 in Biggers Funeral Chapel

Entombment:  Greenwood Mausoleum

Visitation: 6 to 8 pm Monday, October 25, 2021, at Biggers Funeral Home

Frances was born on March 13, 1931, in Comanche, Texas to J.B and Mildred Hilley.  She had been a resident of Lake Worth since 1956 and was a charter member of Fellowship Baptist Church.  Frances and B.W. Horton married on December 6, 1952.  They had been married 67 years when B.W. passed away in 2019.  Frances and B.W. had a love story that some only dream about.  The Lake Worth Newspaper wrote an article about their marriage for their 50^th wedding anniversary.

Frances spent most of her time trying to wrangle their three boys, Jim, Danny, and Roy while B.W. was out on trucking trips.  She was a housewife, mother, daughter, aunt, sister-in-law and beloved by all who met her.  Frances always had a smile on her face and a kind word to say.

Frances was preceded in death by B.W.; a daughter-in-law; and two grandchildren.

Survivors: Sons, James Horton (Keri), Danny Horton, Roy Horton (Terry); eight grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
