GRANBURY — Marie Wilson Hinkle, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and dear friend to many, went home to be with her Lord on July 19, 2012.
Celebration of life: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at Lakeside Baptist Church in Granbury.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift to The American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer’s Association.
Marie was born in Fort Worth on October 22, 1932 to Archie Lee Wilson and Vernon Gee Byars. She is remembered for her adventurous and unflappable spirit. She had an enthusiasm for life which led her to pursue varied careers and interests. Marie was active in the Fort Worth community for many years as a real estate broker, home-builder, North Richland Hills Councilwoman, and an active member of the Baptist church.
Marie loved to laugh and loved a good story. At a later age, she discovered her gift of writing and recently released a memoir entitled, “My Talks With God”.
Survivors: She is loved and survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Lloyd Hinkle, her four children and their spouses, Vickie Pacek, Marsha and Mike Cassle, John and Dawn Hinkle, and Ron and Debbie Hinkle, her seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
