GRANBURY — Frances M. Marcus, 89, passed away Monday, Apr. 9, 2012, in Glen Rose.
Inurnment service: 1:00 p.m. Friday, Apr. 20, 2012, at Holly Hills Mausoleum Chapel in Granbury.
Mrs. Marcus was born Nov. 27, 1922, in Farwell, Texas, to Alton and Lora Mae Morris Coker. She was one of the original “Rosy the Riveters” working during World War II at Goodrich. She loved crafts, knitting and crocheting. She was a Den Mother in Cub Scouts and one of her guest speakers influenced her son, Gary, to become a nurse.
Survivors: Sons, Gary A. Marcus and wife, Lauraine Kay, of Granbury, Alton J. Marcus of Birmingham, Ala., Anthony J. Marcus and wife, Penny, of Calif., Christopher J. Marcus and wife, Nelva, of Imperial, Calif.; grandchildren, Caitlin Marcus, Michael Marcus, Scott Marcus, Jarod Marcus, Christopher Marcus; great grandchildren, Kadin Marcus, Owen Marcus and Blake Marcus.
