Francis Louise Rasberry Seymour was born July 8, 1926 and passed from this world and into the loving arms of the Lord July 26, 2016.

She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Boston Perry Rasberry in the Pea Ridge community Erath County, Texas and grew up and attended school in the Morgan Mill area.
She married Tolbert EJ Seymour on August 15, 1942 in Morgan Mill, TX and followed him to duty stations at Ft. Riley, KS and Ft. Bliss, TX. She and EJ then settled in the Lipan, TX. area, where they worked on several ranches before establishing their own spread in 1948.
They raised three children, Sandra Sue, Ronie J and Monty Ty Seymour.
She was a lifelong homemaker, mother, ranchhand and business partner to the family. She had been employed outside the family as a cashier in El Paso, office worker at the Weatherford Livestock Auction in the early 60’s, factory worker at Mangold Toy Factory and as a seamstress at Maybelle Sportswear both located in Granbury, TX. She was the matriarch of the family and the driving force behind all its endeavors and successes, always adhering to her favorite passage from Shakespeare “To thine own self be true”. She taught her children to be self-sufficient and independent in all things giving them the working tools for success in life. A friend and confidant to all she met. We learned from her how to live life to the fullest, to laugh with others and at ourselves, to cry for each other and to die with dignity.
She was a Christian and had attended many different churches in her lifetime. She belonged to several organizations and had several achievements among these were the Order of the Eastern Star where she was a 70 year member. She had been a member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Hood County Sheriff’s Posse. She was nominated to the National Cowgirl’s Hall of Fame.
She was preceded in death by her parents Boston and Myrtie Rasberry, husband EJ Seymour, brother Earl Rasberry and wife Pauline, son Ronie J and wife Thea Seymour, daughter Sandra and husband Benny Clark, and granddaughter Amanda Seymour.
She is survived by son Monty Seymour and wife Leslie of Lipan, Grandchildren Clay Clark of Euless, TX, Kelly Blair and husband Andy of Bullard, TX, Tracy Seymour-Emory Evans and husband Shannon of Bangs, TX, Jake Seymour and wife Courtney of Lipan, Ronie Seymour and wife Jessica of Cleburne, TX, Jennifer Wilson of Lipan, Connie Fendley and husband Patrick of Forney, and Randall Gallima and wife Tory of Ft. Riley, KS , fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, sister Mary Jo Donahoo and husband Ollie of Granbury and numerous nephews and nieces. As well as many children that she has “adopted” over the years.
