Francis Marion “FM” Daniels, 84, of Granbury passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019.
A Celebration of his life will begin with visitation on Friday, February 1, 2019 from 6 PM until 8 PM at Martin’s Funeral Home in Granbury. Graveside services will be held at Desdemona Cemetery in Desdemona, TX, at 11 AM on Saturday, February 2nd.
FM was born on December 17, 1934 in Desdemona, TX to Claude and Evelyn Daniels. FM grew up and worked on the Williamson-Dickies Ranch during his younger years. FM served four years as a United States Marine while stationed in California. He graduated from Cal-Tech with his Doctorate in Theology. After moving to the DFW Metroplex area, FM was a Fort Worth Firemen for 28 years. He served as a Director on the Festival committee for the Texas Scottish Festival and Highland Games for many years. FM was an avid coin and pocket watch enthusiast.
He was a loving companion, uncle and friend.
FM is survived by his sister, Cleta D. Mims of Granbury, many nephews, nieces, and friends.
FM was preceded in death by his parents Claude and Evelyn Daniels, sisters, Lillian Leatherman and Leta Hay, and his beloved dog, Wallie.
