San Angelo- Frank E. Houx 66, died peacefully at his home on March 3, 2022. After being diagnosed with terminal liver cancer, he enjoyed the last few weeks with his family and friends close at his side.

He was born to the late James and Clara Jean Houx on August 16, 1955 in Dallas, Texas. Frank graduated from Western Hills High School, Class of 1973. Following graduation, he attended Texas Christian University, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. He married his wife, Joanie in May of 1982. Several years later, they moved out to Aledo where they raised their daughters. He enjoyed spending time at softball tournaments, riding horses, and spending time at the farm. He had a great love for clay shoots, hunting trips, and fishing trips to the coast with friends. He took great pride in spending time with his wife, kids, and grandchildren. Upon his retirement in May of 2017, they moved to San Angelo.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Clara Jean Houx; and his sister, Carla Houx.
Frank is survived by his wife Joanie; daughters, Jordan Houx, Kylie Houx, Casey Thieman and her husband, Joe; his grandchildren, Parker and Camryn Thieman; and so many family members, friends and loved ones.
