Gary Dean Leonard, 69, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, from cancer.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 15, at First United Methodist Church of Azle. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Gary was born April 28, 1943, in Mount Pleasant, Pennsylvania, to Fred and Faye Leonard and grew up in Scottdale, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Otterbein College in Ohio, he was commissioned into the United States Air Force where he was a radar navigator on B-52s. Major Leonard flew 330 missions in Southeast Asia and was awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses. He retired from the Air Force in 1986 and started a patio cover and landscaping business.
He leaves behind his wife, Betty; son, Dean and his wife, Jennifer; grandchildren, Chase, Brody and Aidan, and Caroline and Abbey Haines; brothers, Keith Leonard and Jim Leonard; and sister, Betty Stover.
