Gary Irwin Kidder, 70, passed away Friday, January 1, 2016.
Services: 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at Generations Church in Granbury.

The family wishes to give special thanks to his kidney donor and to the many caregivers at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth.
Gary was born May 21, 1945 in Maysville, Kentucky to Kenneth and Pauline Kidder. He served in the U.S. Navy before being employed by GM in Ohio. In the mid 1980’s, he was laid off and relocated to Texas just in time to experience the hottest part of a Texas summer. Gary was a gardener, a builder and fixer of things. He felt blended family was just family. Gary took his boys fishing, camping and hunting. He made sure they were each self-reliant. He was a cancer survivor and a caregiver. Gary had a big heart and was a member of Generation Church in Granbury. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings James Kidder and Pamela Van Nest.
Survivors: wife Janet Kidder; sons Michael (Deidra) Kidder, William “Bill” (Angela) Kidder, Micah (Kristina) Helms; grandchildren Jenica, Brianna, Emorie, Aaron, Gabby, Kaitlyn, Nikki; great grandchild Everett and one on the way; siblings Patricia (Johnny) Campbell, Dennis (Sherry) Kidder; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
