Gary Lee Smith

Gary Lee Smith, age 70, passed away from this earth Wednesday, January 25, 2023.

Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 6, 2023, in Biggers Funeral Chapel.

Gary was born November 22, 1952, in Fort Worth to Robert L and Mable Grace (Johnston) Smith. He spent his younger days living in the countryside. Exploring creeks, woods and fishing.

Gary met the love of his life, Dehn, and they were married 50 years and together had two children, Christopher and Jennifer. He was a big family man. He loved hanging out with his children and grandchildren.

During his spare time, he enjoyed playing golf and Texas Holdem. He learned to love watching Sci-fi movies as a kid with his mother. He was proud of his Star Trek memorabilia. Always up for dressing up and decorating for Halloween. Loved traveling whether it was a day trip or an extended adventure.

He always met life’s challenges with a positive attitude and wonderful sense of humor.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Dehn; his children, Christopher Smith and wife, Shelley and Jennifer Bales and husband, Beau; five grandchildren, Archer Bales, Evelyn Bales, Lillian Bales, Austin Smith and Kayleigh Smith; one great-granddaughter, Presley Rae Smith, and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
