Gene Everett Griffin, 76, of Granbury, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at Texas Health Harris Methodist in Fort Worth, Texas.
Gene was born in Brownwood, Texas on May 15, 1943 to Iris Bell and P. B. Griffin. He attended Crane High School in Crane, Texas, Angelo State in San Angelo, Texas and Texas A & I Kingsville in Kingsville, Texas. Received a degree in Natural Gas Engineering. He worked for ARCO in Alaska and retired as a production manager on the North Slope of Alaska. After retirement, he went to work in Azerbaijan, then back to Alaska to work until he finally retired in 2019. He also served in the Army and went to Vietnam.
His hobbies included fishing, playing golf, making fishing jigs for his and his son
Chad’s small jig company EZEE Jigs. He also held a patent on a fishing device called EZEE Loop.
He was very proud of his granddaughter Abbey for receiving a golf scholarship to Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Iris Bell and P. B. Griffin and a sister.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marsha and a son Chad Everett Griffin, granddaughter Abigail Brooke Griffin, brother and sister-in-law Tommy and Jody Griffin, brother Johnny Griffin, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
