The Texas Council was saddened to receive word of the passing of Mr. Gene Menefee.
As a long time colleague, friend and mentor, Mr. Menefee is probably most known for his many years of exemplary service as the Executive Director of Lubbock Regional MHMR. After Gene and his beloved wife Betty retired to the Stephenville area to live closer to family, Mr. Menefee shared his time and expertise as a member of the Board of Trustees for Pecan Valley Center.
For many of us, this is both a personal and professional loss. On a personal note, I deeply appreciate the confidence he had in me in the early years of my career and will always remember him fondly as
