George Hutto Denison of Duncanville, TX passed away April 5, 2020 at the age of 87.
George was raised in Rule, TX by his father William Wayne Denison and his mother Della Hutto Denison, along with his five siblings: sisters Frances, Florine and Tommie, brothers Billy Wayne and John Henry.
George served four years in the United States Navy obtaining the rank of Gunner’s Mate Second Class. After the Navy George met his future wife Ann “Nancy” Caffery in Philadelphia, PA and they were married in Camden, NJ in 1955.
George worked over 30 years for Dallas Area Rapid Transit, where he started out as a bus driver and retired as a manager in their Oak Cliff/Southwest Dallas Division. George was also a Master Mason with 50 plus years.
George was preceded in death by his parents, sisters and brother Billy. He was also preceded by his daughters Nancy Denise Denison and Anita Grace Rhoton.
He leaves behind his wife of 65 years Nancy Denison of Granbury, TX; brother John Henry Denison of Duncanville, TX; son George Joseph Denison of Morgan, TX; daughter Theresa Ann Wyrick of Bluff Dale, TX; along with nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
