DECORDOVA — Gerald W. Hayes, 78, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 4 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Gerald was born Nov. 5, 1933 in Cornning, Ark. He married Alice Cozad on Jan. 27, 1972 in Hawaii. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the deCordova Men’s Golf Association. He had lived in Granbury for eight years.
Survivors: Wife, Alice Hayes of deCordova; children, Jerry and wife, Cheryl Hayes of Fort Worth, Roxanne and husband, Bill Hand of Los Angeles, Calif., Joe and wife, Bertha Wyatt of Mount Pleasant and Lee and wife, Sherrie Wyatt of Montgomery, Ala.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Opal and husband, Alden Hinkle of Illinois; brother, Jesse and wife, Mary Ellen Hayes of Maine; several nieces and nephews.
