Gerard was born December 8, 1941, in Strathaven, Scotland. He graduated with a civil engineering degree in Glasgow. His work took him all over the world, including the Arctic Circle and Yukon. He met his wife, Angela, in Liverpool. They married in Fort Worth and moved to Canada, which was deemed too cold by Mrs. O’Connor and they moved back to Fort Worth.
Gerard was involved with the design of two nuclear power plants. He was good natured and gentle. Gerard had the respect, admiration, and genuine love of all who were fortunate to know him. We will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Eileen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Angela; sons, John Peter and David; nephews, Ian, Simon and Duncan; along with scores of friends who will never forget him.
