Glenda Louise Hefner, 80, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Waco, Texas. Glenda was born June 15, 1936 in Henrietta, Texas. She married Hugh Hefner in 1954 and they lived in Wichita Falls. After business college, Glenda worked in the insurance business and later pursued a career in banking. After moving to Waco in 1979, she began working alongside Hugh in the retail business. They retired and moved to Granbury in 1997. Later, she was asked to become a store manager in Granbury and she loved it! Glenda and Hugh were very involved in their community and church. She was an amazing cook and loved to read. Her favorite times were spent with her children and grandchildren and travelling with Hugh. She was preceded in death by husband Hugh Hefner and daughter, Lori McGrew.
Survivors: children, Lisa and husband , Jeff Whitehead of Waco, LeeAnn Hefner of Waco and Barry and wife, Sammy Hefner of Colleyville, grandchildren: Blake Cole, Jacquelyn Cole Schrotel and husband , Chase, Cameron Cole, Grayson Hefner, Savanna Hefner, Abigail McGrew, Brooke McGrew, Sadie Whitehead, and son-in-law, Jerry McGrew.
