GRANBURY — Glenda Vernon, 74, passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014 in Fort Worth. Memorial service: 3 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Memorials: Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America.
Glenda was born June 23, 1940 in Olney to Glen and Dorothy Stout Bohannon and grew up in Throckmorton and Graham. She loved to sew, quilt and crochet. She was active in the community in many clubs and organizations including the Texas Democratic Women’s Club, Hood County Extension Club and the Senior Circle. She also did taxes for Hood County and volunteered for the election committee. She loved spending time with her family. Glenda was preceded in death by her father, Glen Bohannon and wife, Sue; mother, Dorothy Denham and husband, Guy; and brother, Don Denham.
Survivors: Husband, Eddie Vernon; children, Bilenda Karnes and husband, George, Lance Vernon, and Russell (RV) Vernon and wife, Meloni; grandchildren, Sarah Karnes, Emily Burger and husband, Derrikk, Nathan Vernon, Hannah Vernon and Bailey Vernon; great-grandson, Dekklan Burger; and brother, Pete Denham.
