Glenella Splawn Whitaker

March 11, 1922 - November 8, 2014

Glenella Splawn Whitaker, 92, beloved mother and grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, November 8, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 15, at Living Water Church, 109 S. Roberts Cutoff Road. Interment will be in Boyd Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Glenella was born in Boyd on March 11, 1922, to Benjamin and Ludie Splawn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Ronnie Bob Whitaker; brothers, Windell and Allen Splawn; and a sister, Bobbie Lee Henderson.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Whitaker and wife, Bertie; sisters, Fobbie Wade and Jaunell Culver; brother, Billy Splawn; grandchildren, Jimmy Whitaker Jr., Bridget Harley and Timmy Whitaker and wife, Carol; and great-grandchildren, Toby and Cheyenne Whitaker and Jager Harley.
