GRANBURY — Glyndol Wilson (Glenn) Dunn, 87, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2012, in Granbury.
Funeral: 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 2, 2012, at Granbury First Baptist Church. Burial: 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Quanah Memorial Park in Quanah, Texas. Visitation: 1:00 p.m. until service time Monday at First Baptist Church.
Mr. Dunn was born Oct. 16, 1924, in Quanah, Texas, to Clarence E. and Nova Anna Wilson Dunn. He married Mae Yarborough, Aug. 28, 1944, in Quanah. He was a member of Granbury First Baptist Church. Mr. Dunn was inducted into the U.S. Navy on Feb. 26, 1943, in Quanah. He did his basic training in San Diego, Calif. From there he was transfered to Norman, Okla., Jacksonville, Fla., Patuxent River, Md. and was seperated from the service in Nashville, Tenn. After the service he worked for the Chevrolet Dealership in Quanah from 1946-1957. He worked as the Service Manager at the Chevrolet Dealership in Colorado City from 1957-1978. He then taught Automotive Technology at the Colorado City, Texas high school from 1978-1989 until he retired. Mr. Dunn was past president of the Mitchell County Appraisal Board and a former member of the Lions Club. He loved to fish, read books, and work in his garden. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Doyle Dunn and Harold Dunn.
Survivors: Wife, Mae Dunn of Granbury; daughter, Mary Glenda Moran and husband, Jerry, of Granbury; son, David Dunn and wife, Rachel of Arlington; grandchildren and spouses, Jeremy and Janice Moran of Fort Worth, Joy Moran of Granbury, Teri Sowder of Dallas, Chris Dunn and fiance’, Tanilia, of Dallas, Daniel and Elaine Dunn of Austin, Gary Spicer of Waco, Kevin Spicer of Waco, Jason Spicer of Arlington, Kyle Kettrey of Bedford, Ted and Kelly Brewer of Fort Worth; two great grandchildren, Landon Kettrey of Granbury, Evalyne Dunn of Calgary, Canada; brother, Royce Dunn and his wife, Gussie, of Manderville, La.; sister, Beatrice Dhooge and husband, Jerry, of LaGrange, Texas.
